   The Northern Industrial Bench or Wall Mount Saw Chain Sharpener is a great way to sharpen chains It is well build and reliable very happy with unit so far it is very easy to use after a little practice you will enjoy razor sharp chains everytime.

   For the price this is the best chain saw sharpener that I have found. I have tried the others that are the same price or cheaper, and believe me when I say that they belong in the trash. You would be better off hand sharpening if you choose something less. Item# 193020 from Northertool has the features that you see from the spendy models but not the cost. It comes with 3 grinding stones to allow many different types of chains to be sharpened. Angle #’s are on the base for consistent transfer from one side of your chain to the other. Overall this model is not made cheep, it is made to last and that is what I needed.

   I have used a manual Oregon sharpener for 28 years and thought this one would be easier and faster.But it’s really like sharpening free hand, with no depth stop of any kind only degree marks to go by. I’ll buy another manual. I own a sawmill and cut a lot of timber not some weekend warrior.

   I like the product and once I figured out how to use it I was happy. I think it should come with better instructions as I had to figure it out by looking at a couple of pictures and I am still not sure if I am using it right, but I am able to cut what I need.

   Product is good and it does what the ad states however the picture in the ad shows different battery connections. The connections in the picture show a bigger clip then the ones that are actually on the device. The product would have been returned if I did not have a side mount battery. You can’t use this product with a top mount battery the battery connections are to big

   I took it out of the box, screwed it to the counter and sharpened 8 chains. It is fast, easy and very consistant compared to the dremel tool I used before.

   this is, in my opinion. the best alternative to the full size Oregon grinder. Easy out of box set up and ease of use make it a great tool.
   All of the fixtures fit tight with no unnecessary movement. Quiet running, easy adjustments to fine tune the sharpening process without overheating the chain thus taking the temper out of it. Highly recommend it. Kind of pricey but worth the investment..
